Lewis Berey

Lewis A. Berey, President

Lewis A. Berey began his long-time career in marketing with positions at H. J. Heinz and General Mills. In 1970, he founded and ran NPI's publicly-traded predecessor company, Synergistic Communications Group. For the past 35 years, Mr. Berey has led NPI, providing strategic category, brand, and new product consulting services to Fortune 100 clients in packaged goods, telecommunications, financial services, and other industries. Lewis A. Berey is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a Master's Degree in Marketing.

Beth Moraitis

Beth Moraitis, Project Executive

Beth Moraitis’ experience with NPI includes a broad range of consumer packaged goods and service industry clients. She has consulted in financial services for CIBC and Wells Fargo Bank, telecommunications with Sprint US and Canada, and other clients such as Pillsbury, Best Buy, and Campbells. Prior to joining NPI she worked for Hill and Knowlton PR. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.


Jan Kimball

Jan Kimball, Project Executive

Jan Kimball's expertise is research analysis, positioning and marketing strategy. With a career foundation in media management at national agencies McCann-Erickson and Young & Rubicam, she moved into new product and service staging for regional and national brands, from idea generation through launch. Brands to which she has contributed market or messaging strategy include American Century, Budget Rent A Car, ConAgra, The Gillette Company, Hunt Wesson, Kellogg’s, Kraft Foods, Purina, R.J. Reynolds and Wells Fargo. Jan has additional experience in working with non-profit organizations and in bringing cause-related marketing into the development of customer relationship strategies.



Robin Plotkin

Robin Plotkin, Project Executive

Robin Plotkin's experience in marketing and communications spans both the client and consulting sides of the business. Robin began her career as a brand strategist at Siegel & Gale and has led strategic branding programs for Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, technology, hospitality, utilities and heavy industry. Her client list includes Zurich Financial, US Steel, Banco Nacional (Brazil), Sprint, Nortel, Hilton Worldwide, Newell Rubbermaid and Solutia (Monsanto). Robin’s corporate experience includes work in several multi-national companies, among them Citibank, where she developed and implemented a new global identity program for The Citibank Private Bank. Robin speaks French and Spanish, holds a BA from Tufts University, an MBA from New York University, and studied at the University of Paris (Sorbonne) and the University of Barcelona.



Ed Wilson

Ed Wilson, Creative Director

Ed Wilson is an experienced writer and award-winning creative director for TV, radio and print advertising. He has developed innovative ad campaigns, creative strategies and prototype concepts for consumer testing. As creative director for Bernstein-Rein, he coordinated all TV advertising for Wal-Mart. At Young & Rubicam, he developed campaigns for Beech Aircraft and BASF. Ed has also created ads for the Kansas City Chiefs, Gulfstream Aerospace and Sprint, winning top awards from the New York Art Directors Club and Communication Arts. Ed has coordinated NPI creative work for Wells Fargo, Pillsbury, Sprint, Sprint Canada, Purolator and ConAgra.

Consumer focused qualitative research for developing new products and concepts, brand repositioning, brand imagery, advertising and packaging development; detailed written analysis and oral presentation. Works with kids, adults and seniors, and specialities include packaged goods, food products, pet foods, financial services and health care.
